Energy Taiwan and Net-Zero Taiwan, annual exhibitions jointly organized by TAITRA and SEMI for the energy industry, are set to take place at Hall 1 of the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. The Taiwan Carbon Solution Exchange, co-founded by Taiwan’s National Development Council and the Taiwan Stock Exchange, was inaugurated in August, with carbon credit trading set to commence and carbon fees scheduled to be collected in 2024. This initiative will also accelerate international collaboration with carbon trading companies worldwide. As Taiwan enters into the era of carbon pricing, vigorous growth is expected across renewable energy sources and their financial derivatives. Energy Taiwan and Net-Zero Taiwan have brought together renewable energy businesses, serving as a comprehensive platform for business matchmaking and information exchange. This platform covers energy supply, low-carbon manufacturing, and sustainability, showcasing energy solutions such as solar PV, wind power, intelligent energy storage, and other innovative forms of energy. Consultation services will also be available for carbon reduction technologies, energy conservation, green production processes, green financing, and the trading of renewable electricity. For the first time, there will be a dedicated pavilion for green financing, providing enterprises with the support needed for their transition to green practices, accelerating the shift to carbon-zero energy, and introducing innovative technologies. This pavilion will address concerns related to carbon reduction, carbon inventory reporting, financing, and taxes.

International Net-Zero Summit Forum Unveils Global Strategies and Carbon Reduction Insights

Additionally, an International Net-Zero Summit Forum will be held on October 19, in alignment with global green economy and net-zero carbon reduction trends. The forum will cover three main themes: trends, green financing, and evidence of carbon reduction. It will feature the participation of The Taiwan Carbon Solution Exchange, established this year, as well as carbon disclosure experts from France, Finland, Spain, and various players in the renewable energy industry, along with the CDP. These experts will share corporate carbon reduction methods and net-zero strategies employed by various countries. This year’s exhibition boasts the participation of prominent companies, including Delta Electronics, AU Optronics, Motech, TSEC, United Renewable Energy, NHΩA TCC, Linde Lianhua, Mitsubishi Electric, Hitachi Energy Taiwan, ABB, Voltronic Power, Siemens Energy, WPD, Ørsted, and CIP. Moreover, it has attracted six countries, namely the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland, to join the exhibitions.
